The Valles

Well, I suppose that three and a half months is long enough to wait for a new blog post.

It’s been hectic for us. Daisy spent several of those months sick, so since she is the one typically updating the blog, it just didn’t happen.

It is now September and things have changed a bit. Jason moved back to Utah in August, Ramses started a new job, and Daisy is finally back at work full time after all the illness.

Ramses is now working for a company called System One Services. They are based out of South Carolina and he works as a gas meter installation technician. They are in the process of working around the country doing contract work changing the old gas meters to new ones that have a wireless connection so that the usage information will just upload to a computer instead of a worker driving around checking each house. So far he likes it, and Daisy loves that they now have the same work schedule. That means no more evenings or weekends for Ramses.

The big news is that we will be going to the temple later this month! September 25th is our one-year anniversary and we will be sealed that day. We are very excited.

We are also starting a new healthy lifestyle. We are teaching ourselves how to cook and eat better and are incorporated more physical activities. It’s going great so far. Daisy has lost about 20lbs!

Speaking of weight loss, Daisy is very proud of her accomplishment. In August her and a few coworkers held a weight loss challenge. 14 people kicked in $5 and weighed in every Monday for the whole month. Daisy won with a weight loss of 6.18%! Second place was 5.83% so it was close. Not only did she win by losing the most weight, she also got to take home the $70. They all plan on doing it again in October.
