Beef Milanesas

Ok, as I said, I'm gonna try to post some recipes that we really enjoy. This first one is one of Daisy's favorites, and Jason had it for the first time and he said he really liked it. I also know for a fact that our friend Jenny loves them, so here it is, the first recipe is Beef Milanesas.

It's really simple and easy to make, the ingredients are not expensive, or anything that you have to go to the end of the world to get.

INGREDIENTS:

Sirloin Thin Steaks
Bread Crumbs
All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup of Milk
1 Egg
Garlic Salt
Ground Black Pepper

I am not really good with measurements, so I'm going to say in a shallow baking sheet, pan, or something of the sort mix 3 parts Bread Crumbs and 1 part All Purpose Flour. Keep in mind this is going to be used to coat the steaks, so if you are cooking 2 or 3 steaks, I'd say go with 1 cup of Bread Crumbs and work your way up depending on the amount of steaks you are cooking.

In a small bowl, mix the Egg and Milk, then coat the steaks with this mixture. Bring them to the the bread crumbs, coat the steak on both sides. Repeat this procedure for all the steaks.

In a frying pan, heat up Vegetable Oil (just enough for it to cover the steaks) and before putting in the steaks, sprinkle some crumbs in the pan to make sure that it is hot enough and ready. Keep in mind that if you put in the steaks before the oil is hot they suck up waaayy too much oil and well, that would not be pleasant to eat.

Once the oil is ready, carefully place your steaks in the pan. Be careful not to drop them, you don't want to splatter hot oil all over you. Give it about 2 or 3 minutes and turn them over. Let them cook just long enough untill they get a nice golden brown color, then take them out and place them on a plate with paper towels to get rid of the excess oil.

And you are done, ready to enjoy, they usually go great with mashed potatoes and veggies, but you can also have them with rice or a nice salad.

I hope you will enjoy this, let me know if you like it, and if you have any ideas of what would you like me to try, don't be shy, send me a message.
