Daisy's First Attempt at Homemade Bread

Well, I did it. I finally made my first attempt at making bread from scratch. I got the recipe from Annette. It came from a book called "Amish Cooking For Kids" she got from Rebekah when she was about 12 or so. Annette used to make it for us and we always enjoyed it.

Overall, it was a success! The only problems I had were the recipe asking you to stir the shortening into the water mix and accidently setting it down on the counter too hard and making it fall after the second rising. I called Amy about the shortening and just decided to move on and add the flour. As for it falling, I cooked it anyway and it still tastes delicious! Ramses and I shared it as a late night snack.
